A creek meandered cross this devastated land. Shinning under the bright sunlight like crystals, she delightfully flowed over pebbles and sands on the river bed, and selflessly fed those thirsty mouths on the banks with her sweet milk.

Like the Rhine River, which nurtured the German spirit, this unassuming creek also nurtured living souls around her.

Flowers with no name bloomed from soils that soaked with blood and tears. Nightingales and turtledoves sang on the scorched stumps that used to be trees. The wood elf that made pleasurable noise through grasses and shrubs was actually a squirrel. Those branches that once bridged its way home were destroyed by cannons and bombers, so now it had to cross the foxholes and craters on the ground to find a new home.
